What areas does MAPRISE cover?

MAPRISE covers all of Japan. Core features — zoning, land prices, hazard information, and more — are available nationwide (coverage varies by data source and is expanding progressively). One feature (the per-building collapse-probability layer in seismic simulation) currently launches first in Kyushu, where MAPRISE was founded. See the Data Sources page for per-layer coverage.

Question 2

Can we bring in the property data our company already manages?

Accepted Answer

On Pro and above, you can register properties from the app and manage them as a portfolio (see the plan comparison table for per-plan limits). You can also import many properties at once from a CSV file.

Question 3

Do I need to register a credit card?

Accepted Answer

No — the free plan works without registering a credit card. During the beta (until the end of October 2026), every plan can try all features, including AI analysis. Monthly AI-credit limits and storage features (property registration, saved views) follow the plan you registered with. Signing up through a paid plan’s button registers a card on Stripe’s checkout page, but nothing is charged until the beta ends at 23:59 JST on October 31, 2026 (we never collect card details outside of Stripe’s checkout screen). If you register on the free plan, you will never be moved to a paid plan automatically, and you simply continue on the Free plan when the beta ends. For paid plans, billing starts automatically on the registered card when the trial period ends. You can cancel at any time before it ends, and you will not be charged.

Question 4

Can I use MAPRISE without creating an account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Without an account, you can browse the map and try the AI features (a daily limit applies). Features that save your data — property registration, PDF reports — require a free account.

Question 5

Can I change plans later?

Accepted Answer

You can change plans anytime. Feature upgrades take effect immediately (your AI credit limit is updated by your next renewal date at the latest), and the difference is prorated and charged at the time of the request. During the beta period (through 31 October 2026) and during a trial period, however, nothing is charged at that time: billing starts at the price of your new plan when the beta or the trial ends. If you downgrade, your plan does not change at the time of the request — your current plan continues through the end of the current billing period and the new plan takes effect from the next billing period, with no prorated refund or credit. Switching from an annual to a monthly plan is applied immediately when the new monthly price is the same as or higher than your current annual price, and the unused portion you have already paid is applied to your following invoices.

Can I cancel anytime? Are there penalties?

You can cancel anytime with no penalty. You retain access through the end of the current billing period (annual plans are generally not refunded for early cancellation). If you are a consumer (an individual not using the Service as a business or for the purposes of a business) and cancel an annual plan early, we settle the months used at the monthly price and refund the remainder, as set out in Article 8-2 of the Terms of Service. Your data is kept and can be restored for 30 days after cancellation. After that, it is progressively deleted, except for data we are required to retain by law.

Is annual or monthly billing better?

Annual billing is cheaper — you save 2 months. For example, Pro plan costs ¥102,960/year incl. tax (¥8,580×12) monthly, vs ¥85,800/year incl. tax annually.

What happens when AI credits run out?

Accepted Answer

When you use all your AI credits for the month, the features that use credits, such as AI chat, pause until the following month — but map viewing and basic features remain available. PDF and Word reports use no credits, so you can keep creating them within your monthly number of reports. Even if you hit the limit, upgrading to a higher plan expands your usage right away, from the same month (AI credits are not sold separately). The on-screen credit indicator notifies you as your balance runs low.

What happens to my credits if an AI response gets cut off?

Accepted Answer

If we are unable to deliver an AI response, the AI credits spent on it are returned in full, automatically. That covers a response that ended partway through because of a connection interruption or a system error, and equally one that never started — for example when the location in your question could not be identified. You do not need to do anything, and when a response ends partway through the chat screen tells you. Credits are not returned when the response ended because it reached the output length limit, or when the input was restricted under our usage policy. Question 10

Is this usable if I am not tech-savvy?

Yes. If you can use a mouse and keyboard, you can use MAPRISE. Click the map or follow on-screen prompts to get real-estate information. You can simply ask the AI "tell me about this area" in plain language. On Starter and above, you can ask by email (info@maprise.jp), and the how-to guides explain each operation on screen.

Question 11

Is my data kept private from other companies?

Accepted Answer

We restrict access so that your property data and analysis history cannot be viewed from outside your company. Our staff may view it only when needed, for example to respond to a fault. Data is stored encrypted in data centers in Japan.

Question 12

What do we get with Enterprise before we even contact you?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Enterprise is built on everything in Business (shared workspace and CSV bulk import included); seat and AI-credit limits and the support scope are agreed individually, based on your requirements. Custom requirements such as report customization, and API access and SSO/SAML authentication, are planned for a future release (timing not yet set).
