Terms of Service

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the GIS SaaS "MAPRISE" (maprise.jp, the "Service") provided by MAPRISE (Operator: KANAMORI Toshiki) ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "User" means any individual or entity, registered or guest, who uses the Service.
• "Registered User" means a User who has created and authenticated a Cognito account.
• "Guest User" means a User who uses the Service without logging in.
• "Content" means map data, statistics, AI analysis results, and other information provided through the Service.
• "AI Chat" means the AI assistant feature powered by Amazon Bedrock (Anthropic Claude).
• "Plan" means any of the Free, Starter, Pro, Business, or Enterprise plans offered by the Service.

Article 3 (Guest Use and Registration)

The Service may be used as a guest, without logging in, for basic features (map viewing and AI chat). Guest use does not include AI chat history persistence or report generation.

Registration uses OAuth 2.0/OIDC authentication via AWS Cognito (email or Google account). Please provide accurate information when registering. Registration using false information is prohibited.

Article 4 (Fees)

Fees for each Plan are as stated on the pricing page. If you sign up during the beta period (through 31 October 2026): all features are provided free of charge regardless of plan (monthly AI-credit limits and storage features follow the plan you registered with). If you sign up after paid plans launch (from 1 November 2026): the price stated on the pricing page for your Plan applies. Features that were free during the beta also follow your Plan's terms from that date.

After paid plans launch, fees are billed monthly or annually via Stripe Billing. Annual plans equal 10 months of the monthly price (2 months free).

Article 5 (AI Chat Conditions)

The AI chat feature uses Amazon Bedrock (Anthropic Claude). Please use it with the following understanding:

• AI responses are reference information only and do not substitute for professional advice or legal judgment.
• AI-generated content may contain errors. Please consult a professional for important decisions.
• Submitted messages are processed within Japanese regions (Tokyo and Osaka) and, per Amazon Bedrock's data usage terms, are not used to train the underlying foundation models (including Anthropic's).
• Each Plan has a monthly AI credit limit (Free: 50/mo, Starter: 500/mo, Pro: 2,000/mo, Business: 10,000/mo).

If we are unable to deliver an AI response, the AI credits spent on it are returned in full, with no action required from you. The amount is not prorated. This covers a response that ended partway through because of a connection interruption or a system error, and equally a response that never started — for example when the location in your question could not be identified. Credits are not returned in the following cases:

• the response ended because it reached the output length limit;
• the input was restricted under the Service's usage policy.

Article 6 (Prohibited Activities)

Users must not:

• Attempt unauthorized access, scraping, or excessive API requests
• Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit Content without authorization
• Interfere with the operation of the Service
• Generate harmful content via AI Chat or perform prompt injection attacks
• Impersonate other users or share accounts (Pro and above may share within the seat limit)
• Violate applicable laws or public order and morals

Article 7 (Intellectual Property)

The software, design, and brand of the Service belong to us. Open data from government sources (e.g., MLIT, GSI) is subject to their respective licenses. User-generated reports and analysis results belong to the User, but we may use them in anonymized form to improve the Service.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

Content is for informational purposes only. Please note:

• Land prices, regulations, hazard information, etc. do not substitute for formal procedures.
• Urban planning data is reference only; for formal legal confirmation, contact your local government, an architect, or a real estate transaction specialist.
• We do not warrant the completeness or accuracy of the information. Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we shall not be liable for any damages (including but not limited to lost profits, loss of data, or loss of business opportunities) arising from the use of or inability to use the Service. Even where we bear liability for damages, the total amount of such liability shall be limited to the cumulative amount of usage fees paid by the relevant user to us during the 12 months immediately preceding the occurrence of the damage; the maximum liability toward users on the free plan shall be JPY 0.
• We do not guarantee the stability or continuity of the Service. During the beta period (through 31 October 2026), the Service may in addition change without prior notice.

Article 9 (Changes / Suspension)

We may change or suspend the Service with reasonable prior notice. In urgent situations, changes or suspension may occur without notice. The Service carries no uptime SLA, including on paid plans.

Article 10 (Termination)

Registered Users may cancel their account at any time from account settings. Paid plans can be cancelled from the dashboard; subsequent billing stops at the next billing date. Data is retained for 30 days after cancellation, then deleted.**

Article 11 (Amendments)

We may amend these Terms as needed. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email in advance. Amended Terms take effect when posted on the Service. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

Article 12 (Exclusion of Anti-Social Forces)

The user represents and warrants that it does not, and will not in the future, fall under any organized crime group, member thereof, affiliated company, corporate racketeer, or other anti-social force ("Anti-Social Forces"). If the user is found to fall under Anti-Social Forces, we may suspend use of the Service or terminate this agreement without any prior notice. The user shall compensate us for any damage arising therefrom.

Article 13 (Governing Law / Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Fukuoka District Court as the court of first instance.
