We've published a page where visitors can see at any time which datasets MAPRISE has added or refreshed. Here are the design choices behind it.
MAPRISE is a GIS SaaS for real estate, finance, and homebuilder workflows across the Kyushu region, integrating a wide range of open data. Each time the service expands, we want to make "what was added recently" visible to all visitors, existing users, hiring candidates, and investors. That's why we launched the Data Update History page.
What you can see
On Data Update History, you can review the following timeline:
- Curation date (toggle newest / oldest)
- Category (base map, regulation, land price, hazard, population statistics, building, foreign residents, etc.)
- Target region (all of Kyushu / individual prefectures)
- Operation (new / updated / expanded)
- Source (public agencies, municipal open data, etc.)
Design choices
We separated "data integration history" from "service announcements"
Service-wide announcements (releases, event participations, press coverage, partnerships) live on a separate page, /news. The granularity of visitor interest is different for data additions versus service milestones.
No internal operational details ever appear
Internal operational information about data integration does not appear in the public feed. We restrict it to provider names (public agencies, municipalities) and curation dates.
Full history is published as a timeline
To establish transparency at launch, we listed curation records covering everything from the foundational integrations to recent expansions.
What's next
MAPRISE will continue to expand data coverage across Kyushu, add new data sources, and refresh existing datasets. We're building a mechanism that automatically appends each new curation to this page as it completes.
